In accordance with H.B. 1881 (2019 GA Session), the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth has developed Nicotine Products Prevention Modules (formerly known as Other Tobacco Products Modules) to provide prevention education to youth from sixth to twelfth grade about products that contain nicotine like cigarettes, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and more. These lessons are correlated with Virginia’s Standards of Learning and were created by Virginia public school teachers and Virginia Commonwealth University in conjunction with the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth.

The Department of Education has also made the lessons available in its Health Smart portal.

All lessons are available in both English and Spanish.
