In accordance with H.B. 1881 (2019), the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) developed the Nicotine Products Prevention Lessons to provide prevention education K-12 grade about products that contain nicotine like cigarettes, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and more.

These lessons are correlated with Virginia’s Standards of Learning and were created by Virginia public school teachers and Virginia Commonwealth University in conjunction with the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth.

Additionally, VFHY is preparing to rollout a similar structured prevention lesson on the dangers of Fentanyl. This lesson will be released and made available to everyone in early 2024.
