Workshop Description

This workshop combines the contents of two shorter VFHY E-cigarette workshops (“E-cigarettes: What are they, what are the health risks, and what can we do to protect youth” and “E-cigarettes & pod-based systems 101: big tobacco reinvented.”)

The workshop covers the evolution of e-cigarettes, it’s appeal to youth, it’s appeal to youth, it’s health risks and how e can address this public epidemic. It also details e-cigarette anatomy and it’s contents.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Define e-cigarettes
  • Understand how e-cigarettes evolved and its anatomy
  • Ways e-cigarettes are marketed to young people & social media targeting
  • Explore nicotine effects on the body
  • national and local tobacco product and e-cigarette data
  • Policies and suggestions to address e-cigarette use

Please note: This is a two-part workshop. You must complete both sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
