About the Champions for Youth Summit

Join the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) and Prevention Connections for an exciting opportunity to be part of the second Champions for Youth Summit! We will convene over 500 prevention professionals who are committed to exploring best practices to impact youth and young adults on topics such as tobacco and nicotine use, substance use, and factors that impact childhood obesity.

Located near the Wolf Trap concert venue and adjacent to the shops and entertainment at Reston Town Center, our event venue sits within walking distance of galleries, Reston National Golf Course, and Metro service to Washington, D.C.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the prevailing state government rate of $257 per night (plus tax) until September 9, 2024, or until the group block is sold out, whichever comes first. Overnight self-parking is $12. Daily self-parking is $15.

Established in 1999 by the Virginia General Assembly, the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) empowers Virginia’s youth to make healthy choices by reducing and preventing youth tobacco and nicotine use, substance use, and childhood obesity.

Prevention Connections (PC) was established in 2003 to expand the childhood obesity and tobacco-use prevention efforts of the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth. Its mission is to promote health through nutrition, increased physical activity, and tobacco prevention and cessation.
