Workshop Description
It is the unique task of every youth worker to nurture the creative gifts inherent in every young person. Discovering personal creativity is another matter entirely. Cultivating one’s own creativity can result in personal insights and renewed professional energy. Through a variety of fun, interactive, expressive and creative media, you will explore and discover your own creative potential, resulting in promoting the creativity of your youth. Imagine the possibilities!
In this workshop you will:
- Gain an understanding of their own creativity
- Recognize the key elements of a creative environment
- Become familiar with the core competencies of creativity
Workshop Instructor
Linda Hansen is currently a consultant for Meraki Consulting, LLC, a company specializing in the utilization of creative competencies and effective facilitation to foster professional development and organizational effectiveness. She recently retired from Alternatives Inc, a nationally recognized youth development nonprofit where she served over 30 years as the Director of Creativity, Director of Prevention Services, and as a School Prevention Specialist. Her expertise ranges from consultation in design and implementation of facilitation techniques that foster creativity and innovative thinking to delivery of prevention services to school-age children, their families, and the community.
